For anyone who has not heard Scott Stratten, this is a must see event. Scott is a straight shooter, knowledgeable, personable, and a great speaker! Scott is one of the few out there who really understand how marketing works nowadays.

Kudos to LinkedOC for snagging another top notch guest. I can’t wait for the event!

I’m reading Scott’s book right now (here: http://amzn.to/9Tey1F) and I’m loving it (especially considering I’m not purely a marketing-guy although he’d tell me I was).

Can’t wait for this networking event - Scott’s YouTube talks crack me up while teaching me something. It’s like he’s a marketing wizard in the jacket of a motivational speaker. Very cool.

  • Bryan

Well said, yes Scott is dynamic. Of course he has an advantage, he’s Canadian.

Sometimes, it hurts that to enjoy a networking event, you have to pay to get in. Being in perpetual startup mode has it’s drawbacks, I guess.

Was lucky to see Scott’s opening keynote at BlogWorld last week and it was one of the best parts of the entire conference. Great speaker and very approachable - like most Canadians!

  • Bryan

    It’s true, there’s something special about Canadians…

I feel your pain-literally. These events would be impossible to have if I had to shoulder the financial burden alone. There are talent fees, flight and hotel costs, venue, food & beverage expenses-to say nothing of the time and effort it takes to coordinate and execute. One real benefit of belonging to a community like this is that we can work together to accomplish things. One person donating $10, 000 to fund these events isn’t fair. But if we spread the burden around, 250 people can buy a ticket for $49 and get it done. Or better yet, 400 people can buy a $25 ticket and so on. For those who don’t have $1 to spend right now, those who do should be towing the line. We have 5,000+ members and we don’t even need all of them at once. Just a good number of people to step up when it matters.

Bravo for putting this together, can’t wait to network with all of you. I’m very anxious to hear all the presentations as well. Good networking with other respected professionals is vital, even to an Actress. Thanks so much! Norma Jean

Bryan- Consider me one of the members that will step up. I would be happy to sponsor a $29 general admission for ONE deserving soul. Just email me at olga@ohsodesign.com with a note of how you will use your attendance at this event and I will pick someone by next Friday and pay for them. ’nuff said.

Thank you for bringing another talented and knowledgable person to OC! $29 is a bargain for what we can generate in return for following through on what we learn!

    Looking forward to it!

  • http://www.TheRelationalMarketer.com/about Emma Tiebens

Wow Bryan! You’re bringing another one of my favorite “Relationship Marketing” heroes to the OC! I remember connecting with Scott Stratten “The Jedi” over a year ago on Twitter and he truly is amazing! He does take the time to connect despite his umpteenth followers and is has always been a loud and outspoken advocate of “Un-Marketing”.

Scott is one of the few leaders whom I really connected with when Twitter was in its infancy… the other ones who really made an impression with me by actually engaging and replying to my posts were Mari Smith, Chris Brogan, Tony Hsieh, Coach Deb Micek, Gary Vaynerchuck, Perry Belcher and Scott Stratten… These are the Mentors who helped shape my brand as “The Relational Marketer” and I am so grateful to you for continuously bringing these amazing leaders up close and personal to us here in the OC!

    With Gratitude,

    Emma ;)

Brian, thanks for bringing Scott Stratten to the OC. He was terrific, and so was your panel discussion last night. Lots of good insight and useful content to take in and process. I think if Scott ever decides to quit his day job he could make a good living doing stand-up comedy. What a great combination of wit and wisdom!

  • Bryan

I agree Phil, great to see you last night!
